The physiocoach ankle sprain steps

Thanks for signing up for the Athletes' Potential Physiocoach email list. We promise to only send you high quality content to help you learn, progress and inspire.
The videos below are designed to help you manage ankle sprains. This is both for personal injuries you may have and also for the inevitable ankle sprains you will see as a coach.
  • The first step is the most important step. You must know if your athlete needs an X-ray and needs to see a physician. Follow the Ottawa rules in part 1 to make this decision. If you are on the fence about going to get an X-ray or sending an athlete to a physician, always send them to a physician.
  • This is important information for a coach to know. It's basically first aid for the musculoskeletal system. You know what to do if you get a cut on your finger. This is what to do if you sustain an ankle injury.
