Atlanta ACL Rehab Athletes

The only things worse than tearing your ACL, is re-tearing your ACL.

There are over 150,000 ACL injuries each year. This isn't a small issue anymore....it's becoming an epidemic.
To make matters worse, studies show around 15-30% of people who have an ACL surgery will re-tear that same knee.
The best way to ensure you don't have to go through the pain, expense and stress of another ACL surgery is to do the rehab right the first time.
The team at Athletes' Potential has extensive experience working with athletes of all ages in the Atlanta and Decatur area achieve full recoveries after an ACL reconstruction.

The Athlete ACL Success Formula

Step 1- Keep the muscle you have and ensure proper healing conditions.
One of the biggest issues with any surgery is the loss of muscle after the surgery. When you can't use your leg very much, your muscle starts to lose it's size. This is known as atrophy, and it's one of the biggest factors to a successful ACL recovery.
We solve this problem using a technique called Blood Flow Restriction Training.
We are one of the few facilities in the Atlanta and Decatur area to have the Blood Flow Restriction equipment the pros use.
This one cutting edge technique can make the difference between a success and unsuccessful ACL rehab.
Check out the ESPN video below on the use of Blood Flow Restriction Training with pro athletes.

Step 2- Rebuilding control and athletic foundation.
As the ACL repair heals, it's important to regain full movement and control of the knee. In many cases, the ACL tears due to lack of control or mobility in the hip or the ankle.
This is a huge part of the rehab process and it needs to be addressed with an individualized process.
Athletes' Potential is one of the only sports rehab clinics in Atlanta that has the Doctor working one on one with you every visit.
You'll never be pawned off on an inexperienced tech or aide.
Regaining your athletic foundation is a difficult process and needs to be individualized to you.

Step 3- Retraining high level athleticism and effective return to sport.
This is the last phase of your recovery process and it's where you start to actually train again.
All of our Doctors have an extensive background in strength/conditioning work and love this part of the process.
We have athletes come in from around the country just to work with our team at this phase of their ACL rehab.
Your rehab sessions will now start to look and feel like athletic training.
You'll be jumping, landing, changing direction and getting as strong as you ever were.
This is the exhausting but fun part of the whole process because it means you're about to get back to the sport you love.
We also will track you the entire way to make sure when we allow you to return to your sport....you're ACL will be absolutely ready to handle whatever you throw at it.

If you have aspirations of returning to athletic activities of any sort...you need to do your ACL rehabilitation with athlete specific providers.

"The professional athletes I work with have millions of dollars on the line and don't have time for gimmicks or "gurus".
