Meet Dr. Charlotte

Dr. Charlotte Barren’s passion for treating athletes began when she attended the University of Connecticut to pursue her degree and certification in Athletic Training. During her time there, she had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of athletes, from middle school students to elite D1 football players. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Emory University, where she received advanced training and certification in dry needling and mat Pilates. Her passion and drive to achieve the highest level of training in the field led her to Mercer University, where Dr. Charlotte completed an orthopedic residency and went on to finish Mercer’s prestigious fellowship program, focusing on manual therapy. She also completed advanced training in movement science and is certified in the Movement Links approach. Dr. Charlotte acts as an adjunct faculty member at Mercer University, aiding in teaching their DPT students and orthopedic residents.

Dr. Charlotte’s journey includes remarkable experiences, such as working with UConn’s Women’s Basketball team, where she provided one-on-one daily rehab treatments for elite athletes. She loves to treat athletes who strive for excellence and has supported athletes across various sports, always aiming to help them perform at their best and recover quickly from any setbacks. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Zach, and dog, Bailey, paddle boarding, hiking, weightlifting, and traveling.
